David Fincher Close to a Deal to Direct WORLD WAR Z Sequel

There had been rumblings and rumors, but now it appears to actually be happening: David Fincher will direct the sequel to World War Z. Variety broke the news that Paramount is closing in on a deal with Fincher and that Brad Pitt will return to star.

After previously taking the film off its calendar, Paramount Pictures looks to be moving forward with a “World War Z” sequel, with David Fincher directing and Brad Pitt back to star, thanks to the studio’s new chairman and CEO Jim Gianopulos, according to knowledgeable sources.
