Donnie Yen Does What He Does Best in the ‘Dragon’ Trailer

Apple has just released the US trailer for Donnie Yen‘s latest martial arts action flick Dragon (Wu Xia). While I am a huge fan of Donnie Yen, and that would be enough to excite me for this film, it’s the director, Peter Ho-Sun Chan, that has me really anticipating this movie.  His previous film The Warlords was absolutely epic, so naturally I’m excited to see how this turns out. Dragon will be available on VOD October 26th, with a theatrical run starting November 30th.

Liu Jin-xi (Yen) is a village craftsman whose quiet life is irrevocably shattered by the arrival of two notorious gangsters in the local general store. When Liu single-handedly saves the shopkeeper’s life, he comes under investigation by detective Xu Bai-jiu (Kaneshiro). Convinced that Liu’s martial arts mastery belies a hidden history of training by one of the region’s vicious clans, Xu doggedly pursues the shy hero—and draws the attention of China’s criminal underworld in the process.
