James Sallis, author of Drive and it’s sequel, Driven, has confirmed in an interview with The Independent, that the sequel to Nicolas Winding Refn‘s film adaptation of Drive is going to happen. There’s nothing more known than “It’s in the pipeline,” but hopefully it won’t take another six years to get made like the original. It’s also crucial that Ryan Gosling reprises his role as the main character, that simply must happen.
The sequel takes place seven years after the events of the original, and we find our hero living in Phoenix engaged to be married, however after the couple is attacked by some thugs, his violent tendencies resurface.
If you’re as excited as I am about this story, you can pick up the novel Here.
