NEW YORK, NY — Nov. 13, 2017 — Film Pulse announced today the launch of its new, year-round online film festival, titled “Film Pulse Selects,” to celebrate and promote independent filmmaking. Entries are now being accepted for the New York City-based, indie-centric company’s 2018 festival season.
As a way to help small and micro-budget filmmakers have an outlet to exhibit their work to a wide audience of indie film lovers, Film Pulse Selects will provide an organized platform to ensure selected films will get the spotlight they deserve.
The festival will release new films every week. Each accepted entry will receive a full write-up from Film Pulse’s contributors, will receive official festival laurels and will be eligible for year-end awards given to best narrative and documentary films in both the short-form and feature length categories.
Since 2012, Film Pulse has been a champion of the indie scene and has played host to world film premieres. Its inaugural festival, Film Pulse Selects (FPS18), will further build upon these efforts by offering Q&As and podcast interviews with the filmmakers for select entries.
The submission window is now open for 2018, and entries can be made through either FilmFreeway or Submittable, links to which can be accessed at FilmPulseSelects.com, along with submission guidelines and additional information.
