‘Filth’ To Premier At TIFF

Acclaimed author Irvine Welsh, of Trainspotting fame, has announced that his upcoming book to film adaptation Filth, will be premiering at this year’s Toronto International Film Festival.  The film centers around a dirty, drug-addicted, cop who is trying to get a promotion on the force and win back his wife. The cop will be played by James McAvoy, and the film will also star a cavalcade of talent including Jamie BellJim BroadbentImogen Poots, and Eddie Marsan.

Other than the TIFF premier, there’s no word on a theatrical release as of yet.
