First Look at Lady Gaga in A STAR IS BORN

The first image of the upcoming remake of A Star is Born has been released, showing Lady Gaga on stage next to her co-star/directed Bradley Cooper. Lady Gaga will be credited as Stefani Germanotta, her legal name, and the film also stars Sam Elliott and Andrew Dice Clay.

Cooper is making his directorial debut with the musical drama, which is a story that has been filmed a few times before, including in 1937 with Janet Gaynor and Fredric March, 1954 with Judy Garland, and 1976 with Kris Kristofferson and Barbra Streisand.

The latest take will be released on September 28th, 2018.

Cooper plays Jackson Maine, a country music star who is on the brink of decline when he discovers a talented unknown named Ally (Germanotta). As the two begin a passionate love affair, Jack coaxes Ally into the spotlight, catapulting her to stardom. But as Ally’s career quickly eclipses his own, Jack finds it increasingly hard to handle his fading glory.
