Shudder has unveiled a new trailer for the surreal horror flick Kuso, directed by Steve AKA Steve Ellison AKA Flying Lotus. The film is a collection of stories about the survivors of the worst earthquake Los Angeles has ever had, but it looks incredibly weird and twisted and I cannot wait to check it out. The film features Hannibal Buress, Anders Holm, Tim Heidecker, and George Clinton.
Kuso premiered at this year’s Sundance Film Festival and will be available in theaters in Los Angeles and on streaming service Shudder July 21st.
Broadcasting through a makeshift network of discarded televisions, KUSO depicts the aftermath of Los Angeles’s worst earthquake nightmare. Viewers travel between screens and aftershocks into the twisted lives of the survived, experiencing a hallucination that is half-Cronenberg, half-Ren & Stimpy.
