DIRECTED by: Eric Terzo

With a bleak future on the horizon and faded dreams in the rear view Pete struggles to turn his suicidal thoughts into reality by unraveling a plan to take he and his band mates into oblivion.

Five Questions with Director Eric Terzo

What was a unique challenge you faced in making this film?

A two person crew consisting of my wife and I was very challenging. We did the lighting, the sound, the directing we even built a set in the backyard of one of the actors. It was wonderfully exhausting and something I am glad I got to experience but I’d like to avoid in the future.

Where did the inspiration for this film come from?

The inspiration for Exit Plan came from the lead actor and real life musician Pete Volino, who pitched it as more of a two or three minute sketch comedy piece.

Who are your top influences?

John Cassavetes, Peter Bogdanovich, Alfred Hitchcock, George Romero, Martin Scorsese.

However, my influences are always evolving. Boots Riley, Patty Jenkins and Yorgos Lanthimos are just a few of the more contemporary filmmakers who inspire and influence me.

What do you hope people take away from this film?

There is humor in even our darkest of notions.

What’s your personal takeaway from this production?

Adaptation is a key component to getting something done.
