Guillermo del Toro’s ‘Pacific Rim’ Begins It’s Viral Marketing Campaign

The viral marketing campaign for Guillermo del Toro‘s upcoming sci-fi flick Pacific Rim has officially launched with a “leaked” government document and an emergency broadcast test signal.

Opening July 12th, the film takes place in a world where humanity is threatened by giant monsters called Kaiju, and our biggest lines of defense are enormous robots piloted by some very skilled individuals.

The film stars Charlie Hunnam, Idris Elba, Charlie Day, Rinko Kikuchi, Max Martini, Rob Kazinsky, Clifton Collins Jr. and Diego Klattenhoff, hit the jump for the first bits of viral marketing.
