Here’s a New Clip from VIDEO GAMES: THE MOVIE

Variance Films has released a new clip from the upcoming video game doc Video Games: The Movie, which takes a look at the history of video games and their impact on the cultural landscape.  The film is narrated by Sean Astin and features interviews with Zach Braff, Chris Hardwick, Wil Wheaton, Nolan Bushnell, Hideo Kojima, Cliff Bleszinski, and Alison Haislip.

This certainly isn’t the first film to explore the history of video games, but hopefully it brings something new to the table other than some new interviews.  Video Games: The Movie opens on VOD July 15th with a theatrical release on July 18th.

From executive producer Zach Braff comes an epic feature length documentary chronicling the meteoric rise of video games from nerd niche to multi-billion dollar industry. Featuring in-depth interviews with the godfathers who started it all, the icons of game design, and the geek gurus who are leading us into the future, VIDEO GAMES: THE MOVIE is a celebration of gaming from Atari to Xbox, and an eye-opening look at what lies ahead.
