Horror-Comedy THE FINAL GIRLS Gets a New ’80s Style Poster

Probably the most enjoyable horror-comedies to come out this year is Todd Strauss-Schulson‘s The Final Girls, a film about a group of friends that end up in a cheesy ’80s slasher film. A new poster for it has been released today, which appropriately pays homage to the style of movies it’s riffing on.

The Final Girls opens in limited release and on VOD October 8th and stars Taissa Farmiga, Malin Akerman, Alexander Ludwig, Nina Dobrev, Alia Shawkat, Thomas Middleditch, and Adam Devine.

The Final Girls is an unconventional comedy about Max, a high school senior, who is mysteriously transported with her friends into a 1980s horror film that starred Max’s mother, a celebrated scream queen. Trapped inside the movie, Max finds herself reunited with her mom, who she lost in real life. Together with Max’s friends, they must fend off the camp counselors’ raging hormones, battle a deranged machete-wielding killer and find a way to escape the movie and make it back home.
