HOT PURSUIT Trailer Starring Reese Witherspoon and Sofia Vergara

Here we have the first trailer for Anne Fletcher‘s (27 Dresses) Hot Pursuit, and before you get all excited about a possible remake of the classic 1987 John Cusack comedy, this is actually a police comedy starring Reese Witherspoon as an officer tasked with escorting Sofia Vergara through Texas while crooked cops and drug bosses try to kill them. The film also features John Carroll Lynch, Rob Kazinsky, Richard T. Jones, and Jim Gaffigan.

Hot Pursuit opens in theaters May 8th.

An uptight and by-the-book cop (Reese Witherspoon) tries to protect the sexy and outgoing widow (Sofia Vergara) of a drug boss as they race through Texas pursued by crooked cops and murderous gunmen.
