It’s a little baffling that Una, which stars Rooney Mara and Ben Mendelsohn and was a hit on the festival circuit, has yet to secure U.S. distribution. After seeing the trailer promoting its upcoming release in Singapore, the lack of domestic distribution is even more curious (and maddening). Mara and Mendelsohn look like their typically strong selves and the premise is intriguing. Hopefully, we’ll be able to see it stateside soon.
When a young woman unexpectedly arrives at an older man’s workplace, looking for answers, the secrets of the past threaten to unravel his new life. Their confrontation will uncover buried memories and unspeakable desires. It will shake them both to the core.
