At a recent panel at Wondercon, director Wan stated that the film has been given an R rating, not for violence, nudity, or language, but because it is simply too terrifying for youngsters. This has me even more intrigued for this film, considering other fright-fests like Drag Me to Hell and Insidious were both PG-13. If the trailer is any indication, we should probably all be wearing diapers for this one. Hit the jump for the synopsis and trailer, and click here to revisit the first teaser.
Before there was Amityville, there was Harrisville. Based on a true story, “The Conjuring” tells the horrifying tale of how world-renowned paranormal investigators Ed and Lorraine Warren were called upon to help a family terrorized by a dark presence in a secluded farmhouse.
