Based on a novel by George V. Higgins, the film centers around a hitman hired to dispatch two idiots who rob a high-stakes poker game, but apparently things become more complicated, and the message of the film evolves into something much broader.
Judging only from the trailer, It looks like this will be a nice blend of action, comedy, and violence, and looks like it may be borrowing some style from the Cohen brothers as well. Dominik successfully brought a unique and well-crafted take on the Western with his previous effort, so I’m very curious to see what he’ll do with a crime thriller.
