Kornél Mundruczó’s WHITE GOD Trailer

A new subtitled trailer has been released for Kornél Mundruczó‘s White God, which is set to next screen at Sundance 2015 and is Hungary’s official entry to the Oscars for Best Foreign Language Film. The film revolves around dogs rising up against their masters and organizing themselves into an army- so basically it’s a must-see for me.

Magnolia is releasing White God in select cities March 27th, 2015.

Winner of the Prize Un Certain Regard Award at this year’s Cannes Festival, Kornel Mundruczo’s newest film is a story of the indignities visited upon animals by their supposed “human superiors,” but it’s also an brutal, beautiful metaphor for the political and cultural tensions sweeping contemporary Europe. When young Lili is forced to give up her beloved dog Hagen, because it’s mixed-breed heritage is deemed ‘unfit’ by The State, she and the dog begin a dangerous journey back towards each other.
