Here is the new trailer for the new Greek film ‘L’ from Babis Makridis, co-written with Efthymis Filippou. Filippou, you might remember, also shared writing duties with Giorgos Lanthimos on his films ‘Dogtooth’ and ‘Alps’. Like those films ‘L’ looks to be amazingly bizarre and absurd.
‘L’ follows a 40 year old man who lives in his car, while his wife and kids, whom he is separated from, live in another car. He is a professional driver, but not in the typical sense, who delivers honey to a narcoleptic man. One night he is fired from being the driver and decides to join a rogue motorbike gang.
I don’t know about you but this may end up being my favorite film of the year. Thank you Greece.
