Legendary to Produce Live Action Pokemon Film

With Pokemon Go being all the rage with seemingly every human on the planet right now, it seems only fitting that Hollywood would be quickly moving forward with a Pokemon movie while this momentum is at a fever pitch. According to Deadline, Legendary Pictures looks to have come out on top, nabbing the rights to make a live action Pokemon film that will be based on the as of now Japanese only 3DS title Great Detective Pikachu, in which the famous Pokemon solves mysteries.

Plans for this film are still very early on, but it’s rumored that production could begin as quickly as next year.

Take a look below for the Great Detective Pikachu game to give you a possible idea on how the movie may turn out.
