Mica Levi has composed scores for two features – Jackie and Under the Skin, and both are uniquely terrific. The atmosphere created by the music in those films is haunting in all the best possible ways.
Now that Levi has signed on to score Marjorie Prime there’s at least one reason be interested in the upcoming sci-fi movie. Based on the Pulitzer Prize-winning play by Jordan Harrison, Marjorie Prime is written and directed by Michael Almereyda. The story centers on an elderly woman who communes with a younger man resembling her deceased husband via the wonders of A.I. Geena Davis, Jon Hamm, Tim Robbins, and Lois Smith star.
Marjorie Prime will have its world premiere at the Sundance Film Festival in January 2017.
