Michael Dougherty to Direct of GODZILLA: KING OF MONSTERS

Krampus director Michael Dougherty and his co-writer Zach Shields had been confirmed as screenwriters for Godzilla 2, and Variety reported today that Dougherty will also direct the sequel.

Titled Godzilla: King of Monsters, the film will be part of a larger monster universe that includes this year’s Kong: Skull Island. Godzilla: King of Monsters is slated to hit theaters on March 22nd, 2019, with Godzilla vs. Kong (conspicuously including an “s” in the “versus” and no post-colon title) following on May 29th, 2020.
