Mister Rogers Hitting the Big Screen from the Directors of LITTLE MISS SUNSHINE

Little Miss Sunshine and Ruby Sparks directors Jonathan Dayton and Valerie Faris are set to adapt Tim Madigan‘s memoir, I’m Proud of You, which looks at his life changing experience after meeting Jim Rogers of Mister Rogers’ Neighborhood.

The film looks to be more than just a biopic about Rogers, which sounds similar to how Disney is approaching Saving Mr. Banks, which looks at the life of Walt Disney.

Although there hasn’t been any casting info yet, I’d like to put in a bid for Sam Waterston as Mister Rogers.  Who do you think would be fitting to don the Cardigan?
