MONUMENTS MEN and ROBOCOP Release Dates Pushed Back AMERICAN HUSTLE Moves Up

A few release date shuffles were announced today, first with George Clooney‘s Monuments Men moving back to February 7, 2014 from it’s original date of December.  Clooney stated that there were some issues in the editing room getting the tone of the film set right, so it’s good that he’s taking the time to get everything fixed up, but moving it back will take it out of Oscar consideration for this year and The Academy usually forgets early releases, so next year may be out of the question as well.

Because of this shift, the upcoming Robocop remake will now be moving back a few days from February 7th to the 12th.  Finally, David O. Russell‘s American Hustle will be moving up to the original Monuments Men spot of December 18th, with a limited release of December 13th.
