On Larry King Now, Dan Aykroyd divulged some plot details on the film, and stated that though it’s still unlikely Bill Murray will be reprising his role, there is an open spot for him if he wants it. Hit the break for more.
Here’s what Dr. Stantz had to say:
It’s based on new research that’s being done in particle physics by the young men and women at Columbia University. Basically, there’s research being done that I can say that the world or the dimension that we live in, our four planes of existence, length, height, width and time, become threatened by some of the research that’s being done. Ghostbusters — new Ghostbusters — have to come and solve the problem.
So we’re going to have four new Ghost Busters who will be taking over for the retiring veterans, which sounds disappointing but could turn out decent if done correctly. If there is anything positive to be taken from these delays, it’s that Aykroyd is really making sure that he doesn’t f– this up.
