New ALIEN: COVENANT Images; James Franco Confirms Involvement

20th Century Fox revealed two new images of Alien: Covenant on Twitter today, each one captioned with a cryptic code (or random file numbers, though that’s unlikely). The first shows silhouetted soldiers standing in a haze and the second appears to show some cryosleep chambers. They were tagged 220512052104 and 130112062104, respectively.

In other Alien news, James Franco acknowledged a role in the film without providing a lot of details. In an interview with Hey U Guys promoting Why Him? (embedded below), the actor seems surprised that the information had leaked. It has long been rumored that Franco is playing the pilot of the the Covenant.

Ridley Scott returns to direct Alien: Covenant, which also stars Michael Fassbender, Katherine Waterston, Noomi Rapace, Guy Pearce, Billy Crudup, and Danny McBride. All secrets will be revealed when the film hits theaters on May 19th, 2017.
