Nick Cassavetes Set to Direct ROAD HOUSE Remake

So it looks like MGM’s Road House remake starring Ronda Rousey is moving along nicely, with Nick Cassavetes brought on as the director.

Variety broke the news that The Notebook director is set to helm the remake of the 1989 film originally starring Patrick Swayze as the tough bouncer of a run down dive bar.

Road House is set to begin shooting the first quarter of 2016, however a release date as not been announced as of yet.

While I understand the original has something of a cult status, I just can’t imagine anyone was asking for this film to get made. I guess as long as I get to see Ronda Rousey ripping some throats I’ll check it out.
