The recent documentary about Snowden, Citizenfour, has been nominated for an Oscar for Best Documentary, and is currently playing in select cities, so I highly recommend checking that out before diving into a fictionalized version of the story, but this sounds promising. The story is based on two recent books- The Snowden Files: The Inside Story of the World’s Most Wanted Man and Time of the Octopus authored by Snowden’s lawyer, Anatoly Kucherena.
Open Road Films will be releasing Snowden in theaters on December 25th.
