I hope you like your violence highly-stylized coupled with minimal dialogue because Nicolas Winding Refn and Ryan Gosling are at it again with Only God Forgives. Refn and Gosling’s second collaboration hopes to match the success of their 2011 hit Drive. Only God Forgives looks and sounds like it is going to be more violent than Drive with the same brooding-to-dialogue ratio (somewhere around 3-to-1). Gosling plays an exiled gangster in Bangkok who sets out to settle his differences with the police lieutenant in a Thai-boxing match.
