PADDINGTON 2 Moving Forward with Director Paul King Returning

With the surprise critical and financial success of the live-action/CG Paddington adaptation, StudioCanal is setting its sights on a sequel, which, according to Deadline, will have Paul King returning to direct and co-write. King will be developing the story with Simon Farnaby, and David Heyman will be producing.

Although I have yet to see the first entry (I definitely be before year’s end), I’m not one bit surprised to see a sequel in the works. Paddington was much better received than any of those ridiculous Chipmunk movies and look at how many of those were made. Road Chip? Come on.
