Lionsgate has released a full official trailer for Power Rangers, a new film version of the campy, wildly-popular kid’s series. It’s heavy on origin story, though the action we do see looks like a nice mix of contemporary and homage.
We also get our first good looks at Elizabeth Banks as Rita Repulsa and Bryan Cranston as Zordon. The Power Rangers are played by Naomi Scott, Becky G, Ludi Lin, Dacre Montgomery and R.J. Cyler.
Directed by Dean Israelite, Power Rangers will be in theaters on March 24th.
SABAN’S POWER RANGERS follows five ordinary teens who must become something extraordinary when they learn that their small town of Angel Grove — and the world — is on the verge of being obliterated by an alien threat. Chosen by destiny, our heroes quickly discover they are the only ones who can save the planet. But to do so, they will have to overcome their real-life issues and before it’s too late, band together as the Power Rangers.
