R.L. Stine’s FEAR STREET Series Being Adapted to the Big Screen

Now that we have a Goosebumps movie that will presumably make a bazillion dollar at the box office, 20th Century Fox is setting its sights on the other R.L. Stine book series, Fear Street to adapt into a feature film. The series was basically the same as the Goosebumps books, but they were targeted for an older, teen crowd with older protagonists and more adult subject matter.

The Wrap, who broke the news, confirmed with Stine that something is in the works, however he was not at liberty to divulge any further details.

Part of me kind of hopes that it’s the exact same movie as Goosebumps, with Jack Black and everything, except rated R with serial killers jumping out of the books instead of goofy monsters. That might be fun, right?
