A Reboot of THE MATRIX Reportedly in the Works

In this era of reboots it was probably inevitable that we would be plugged back into the sci-fi universe of The Matrix at some point, and according to The Hollywood Reporter a new version of the genre classic is in the early stages of development.

The article states that Warner Bros. is in the process of relaunching the franchise and, at this point, the Wachowski siblings are not involved. THR also reports that Zak Penn (Ready Player One) is in talks to write a treatment and that the studio is eyeing Michael B. Jordan (Creed) to star.
