‘[REC]4: Apocalypse’ Teaser

Here’s the first teaser for the upcoming 4: Apocalypse, which is supposedly the final chapter in the very popular Spanish horror series.  The first two films were directed by Jaume Balagueró and Paco Plaza, who decided to split up and direct the second two on their own. Paco Plaza directed the third film in the series, which seemed to divide fans and critics for it abandoning of the found footage style 20-minutes in, and opting for a much more traditional and humorous take on the outbreak.

Balagueró‘s 4: Apocalypse seems to go back to the film’s roots and go back to the found footage style, revisiting some of the characters we’ve seen in the first film.  There’s not a lot to be seen from the teaser, in fact it looks like it’s just footage from the first film, but here’s hoping they end the series with a bang. There’s currently no US release date for the film, but I would imagine since the third one just came out a few months ago, that we’ll be waiting at least a year for this bad boy. Enjoy the teaser below.
