Ridley Scott’s ALIEN: COVENANT Gets a Title Treatment, Connects PROMETHEUS to Original Film

20th Century Fox released a new title treatment for Ridley Scott‘s upcoming Alien prequel, Alien: Covenant, which aims to bridge the gap between his original 1979 film and Prometheus. Although I’m still cautiously optimistic about this movie, it sounds a lot like what I wanted from Prometheus to begin with, and as a rabid fan of the Alien series, I’m pretty pumped.

Along with the treatment above, a new synopsis has been released, which confirms Michael Fassbender‘s return as David.

Take a look at the synopsis below, Alien: Covenant opens in theaters October 6th, 2017.

Ridley Scott returns to the universe he created in ALIEN with ALIEN: COVENANT, the second chapter in a prequel trilogy that began with PROMETHEUS — and connects directly to Scott’s 1979 seminal work of science fiction. Bound for a remote planet on the far side of the galaxy, the crew of the colony ship Covenant discovers what they think is an uncharted paradise, but is actually a dark, dangerous world — whose sole inhabitant is the “synthetic” David (Michael Fassbender), survivor of the doomed Prometheus expedition.
