Rosemarie DeWitt to Star in POLTERGEIST Remake

Deadline reported today that Rosemarie DeWitt will be starring in the upcoming remake of Tobe Hooper‘s 1982 film Poltergeist.  Although I’m still against the creation of this film, I think DeWitt is a good choice for the role of the mother, originally played by Jobeth WilliamsSam Raimi is also tapped to produce, so who knows, maybe it won’t be all that bad.

Gil Kenan (Monster House) is set to direct, and the film is slated to hit theaters sometime next year.
