Screen Media announced today that they have picked up the North American rights to Terry Gilliam‘s long awaited The Man Who Killed Don Quixote starring Adam Driver, Jonathan Pryce, Stellan Skarsgard, Olga Kurylenko, and Jordi Molla.
It’s almost hard to believe this film is actually finished and ready for release, considering production began 18 years ago, but after its premiere at Cannes earlier this year, it’s finally finished and ready to hit theaters in the U.S. in March. Here’s the previously released trailer:
Toby (Driver), a frustrated filmmaker and disillusioned advertising executive, becomes pulled into a world of time jumping fantasy when a Spanish cobbler (Pryce) who believes he is Don Quixote, mistakes Toby for his trusted squire Sancho Panza. Pulled further into the cobbler’s world, Toby gradually becomes unable to tell his dreams from reality.
