The second trailer for Spider-Man: Homecoming has arrived, and it features a lot more of the mentor/pupil relationship between Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jr.) and Peter Parker (Tom Holland) as well as more Vulture (Michael Keaton). Stark/Iron Man looks to me a major character, even coming up with the “Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man” line.
Holland’s take on the character seems to fit the young, inexperienced superhero, befitting of the fresh start for the character in the MCU. We’re also spared any origin story plot, which is hopefully avoided altogether in this latest reboot, and the action seems to flow with Peter’s hero arc.
Directed by Jon Watts, Spider-Man: Homecoming also stars Marisa Tomei, Donald Glover, Angourie Rice, Martin Starr, and Zendaya. It will be in theaters on July 7th.
