Stephen Sommers’ ‘Odd Thomas’ Trailer Starring Anton Yelchin

Here’s the first trailer for Odd Thomas, directed by Stephen Sommers (The Mummy) and based on the popular series of books by Dean Koontz. The film stars Anton Yelchin as the titular character who has the ability to look into the spirit world. The vibe of the trailer definitely gives off a similar feel to The Mummy series, combining supernatural hijinks with comedy, which I’m not sure is a good thing or not.

Willem Dafoe, Addison Timlin, Nico Tortorella, Gugu Mbatha-Raw, and Patton Oswalt also star. Plan to see Odd Thomas when it hits theaters later this year, hit the jump for the trailer.

In a California desert town, a short-order cook with clairvoyant abilities encounters a mysterious man with a link to dark, threatening forces.
