Open Road Films has released a trailer for Spark: A Space Tail, an animated film about a simian teen who discovers his heroic destiny. It looks like the movie is trying to combine animated space adventure with animated animal adventure without a whole lot of rhyme or reason, other than kids love both space and animals.
Directed by Aaron Woodley and featuring the voices of Jace Norman, Jessica Biel, Patrick Stewart, Susan Sarandon, and Hilary Swank, Spark: A Space Tail will be in theaters on April 14th.
SPARK (Jace Norman) is a wisecracking teen living on an abandoned planet with his friends Chunk and Vix. Thirteen years ago the power-hungry General Zhong seized control of their planet Beta, wiping out Spark’s family and sending him into hiding. But now they’ve learned of Zhong’s plan to wipe out the entire universe using the deadly space Kraken, and no one but Spark can stop him.
