Wong Kar-Wai’s THE GRANDMASTER Trailer 2

A new trailer for Wong Kar-Wai‘s upcoming martial arts biopic The Grandmaster has been released today, which appears to cater to a Western audience afraid of subtitles.  The film stars Tony Leung as Ip Man, the legendary martial arts master best known for being Bruce Lee‘s teacher.  I’m not sure how this film will differ from the two other recent Ip Man movies that came out starring Donnie Yen, but this one looks to be more stylistic and fight focused rather than an accurate telling of his life.

Either way, I’m always jonesing for a good martial arts flick so I’ll definitely be checking this one out when it hits theaters (in limited release) August 23rd. Hit the break for the trailer.
