TIFF ’12: Juan Carlos Medina’s ‘Painless’ Trailer

Here’s the English subtitled trailer for Juan Carlos Medina‘s film Painless, which will be premiering at this year’s Toronto International Film Festival, during their Vanguard Series. The film looks intensely creepy, and has a very interesting premise involving a group of children who can’t feel pain.  Hit the jump for the full synopsis and trailer.

In this fascinating allegorical horror-thriller, a brilliant young neurosurgeon emerges miraculously unharmed from a devastating car crash — only to discover a dark secret about his origins that stretches back to a series of bizarre experiments conducted at the dawn of the Spanish Civil War.
