Tim Burton’s BIG EYES Trailer

The first trailer for Tim Burton‘s latest, Big Eyes, has been released. The film tells the true story of husband and wife artists Margaret (Amy Adams) and Walter Keane (Christoph Waltz) who were made famous back in the ’50s for their creepy paintings of children with freakishly large eyes. Krysten Ritter, Jason Schwartzman, Danny Huston, and Terence Stamp also star.

This looks to be something of a departure for Burton, and may be close to his Ed Wood, Big Fish days than his more recent Disney ventures. That, along with the solid cast, could make this one worth a look even though this trailer hasn’t sold me.

Big Eyes opens in theaters December 25th.
