Tobias Lindholm’s Oscar Contender A WAR Gets a New Poster

Magnolia has released a new poster for Tobias Lindholm‘s (The Hunt, A Hijacking) A War, which is Denmark’s official submission for this year’s Best Foreign Language Film award at the Oscars. The film follows commander Claus M. Pederson (Pilou Asbæk) as he’s forced to make a terrible decision on the battlefield in Afghanistan that affects not only him, but his family back in Denmark.

A War opens in theaters February 12th, 2016.

Company commander Claus M. Pedersen (Pilou Asbæk) and his men are stationed in an Afghan province. Meanwhile back in Denmark Claus’ wife Maria (Tuva Novotny) is trying to hold everyday life together with a husband at war and three children missing their father. During a routine mission, the soldiers are caught in heavy crossfire and in order to save his men, Claus makes a decision that has grave consequences for him – and his family back home.
