Today in Television Adaptations – THE SIX BILLION DOLLAR MAN and THE GREATEST AMERICAN HERO

In two bits of TV adaptation news, it was announced today that none other than Mark Wahlberg will be starring in the upcoming movie version of The Six Billion Dollar Man. The film is set to hit theaters December 22nd, 2017 and will be written and directed by Damián Szifron (Wild Tales).

The other tidbit revolves around some movement on the gestating modern version of The Greatest American Hero from Phil Lord and Chris Miller (21 Jump Street, The Lego Movie). Rick Famuyiwa (Dope) will be writing and directing the pilot for Fox, and developing the series alongside Tawnia McKiernan, daughter of the original show’s creator Stephen J. Cannell.
