IFC Midnight released the trailer for the upcoming horror film Welcome to Mercy, directed by Tommy Bertelsen. The film stars Kristen Ruhlin (who also penned the screenplay) as a woman stricken with stigmata, who is sent to a convent where evil awaits her.
Welcome to Mercy will be screening at Screamfest and the Brooklyn Horror Film Festival before opening in theaters and on VOD platforms November 2nd.
A young woman struggles against the unholy forces that possess her in this terrifying occult thriller. After being stricken with stigmata, single mother Madaline (Kristen Ruhlin) is sent to a remote convent where nothing is what it seems and her friend August (Lily Newmark) is seemingly the only person she can trust.
