Tony Scott Did Not Have Brain Cancer Says Wife

According to a report yesterday on ABC’s Good Morning America, director Tony Scott, who ended his own life on Sunday, was suffering from inoperable brain cancer, which appeared to be the reason behind his suicide. It’s now been proven that this information is erroneous and has been confirmed from Scott’s widow, Donna, that he did not, in fact, have brain cancer. This is the the second time in as many months that ABC has had to put their foot in their mouth regarding information they released without vetting it properly. Last month, they got into hot water after first mistaking the identity of Jim Holmes, a member of the Colorado Tea Party with James Holmes, the perpetrator of the mass shooting, then misquoting the mother of Holmes.

As we reported earlier, authorities did find a note written by Tony Scott at his office, and it appears they also found one in his car, which was parked along the bridge he fell from.  Investigators have not released the contents of the notes. We’ll bring you more on this as it unfolds.
