THE TOWN THAT DREADED SUNDOWN Trailer and Poster

A new trailer and poster has been released for the upcoming remake of The Town That Dreaded Sundown, set to screen at this year’s Fantastic Fest in Austin.  The film, based on a true story, revolves around a masked killer terrorizing a small town in Arkansas.  The film is written and directed by Alfonso Gomez-Rejon (American Horror Story) and produced by the ever popular Jason Blum.

The Town That Dreaded Sundown opens October 16th and will be released under the Orion Pictures label, which I’m very pleased to see back on the screen.

Based on a terrifying true story, The Town That Dreaded Sundown picks up sixty-five years after a masked serial killer terrorized the small town of Texarkana, when the “moonlight murders” begin again. Is it a copycat or something even more sinister? A lonely high school girl, with dark secrets of her own, may be the key to catching the murderer.
