VOD Releases for the Week of September 30th, 2013

We have a very solid lineup of pre-theatrical and day and date releases hitting VOD this week, including one of my top films of the year, Matthew Johnson‘s The Dirties.  There’s also the SXSW favorite Zero Charisma, the dramatic comedy Best Man Down, and the drama Concussion, which is getting a lot of positive feedback from critics.

Best Man Down – October 3rd, 2013

When their obnoxious and over-served best man, Lumpy (Labine) unexpectedly dies at their destination wedding in Phoenix, bride and groom Kristin (Weixler) and Scott (Long) are forced to cancel their honeymoon and fly home to the snowy Midwest to arrange for his funeral. But when they arrive they realize that there was a lot more to their friend than met the eye.

Concussion – October 4th, 2013

Zero Charisma – October 8th, 2013

But his mastery of his own domain starts to slip—along with everything else in his life—when neo-nerd hipster Miles (Garrett Graham) joins the game, winning over the group with his confident charm and dethroning Scott with an unexpected coup. Caught in delusions of grandeur, Scott must roll the dice and risk everything to expose Miles as the fraud he believes him to be. A darkly comedic fable of epic proportions, Zero Charisma is an ode to nerds from every realm.
