Weekend Box Office: KONG is King

Kong: Skull Island battered the competition at the box office last weekend, debuting with just over $61 million. Logan and Get Out showed strong staying power, finishing in second and third, respectively. Skull Island was the only big wide release of the week, but Personal Shopper is worth noting, finishing with over $92,000 in only four theaters for an impressive $23,000+ per-screen average.

  9. La La Land –$1.77M; Total gross: $148.45M
  10. Fifty Shades Darker– $1.63M; Total gross: $112.92M
