Weekend Box Office: MOANA Stays on Top, MANCHESTER BY THE SEA Impresses
Disney’s Moana topped the post-Thanksgiving box office, adding just over $28 million to its coffers in its second week. Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them held in second with $18.5 million.
The only semi-wide release of the weekend, demonic horror film Incarnate, was dumped in theaters and made back over half of its $5 million budget.
Manchester by the Sea finished just outside of the top 10 with a total of $4.4 million in 156 theaters for an impressive per-screen average of over $15,000.
