Weekend Box Office: ROGUE ONE Stays on Top to End Record Year
New Year’s weekend topped off the largest year at the domestic box office, with 2016 releases grossing over $11.3 billion. Disney films alone topped $3 billion in revenue, and one of their titles – Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, ruled the box office for the third straight week, adding $49.5 million to its total. Sing stayed strong with $42.8 million.
